Life in Ancient Ohio - Late Pleistocene

SKU: GEO027

PRODUCT TYPE: Poster

$15.00

Poster illustrated by Kyle Hartshorn

Part of the "Life in Ancient Ohio" series, this beautiful poster depicts a "golden hour" scene of Ohio's ancient Ice Age environment about 20,000 years ago, as glaciers were receding from Ohio. The plant and animal life of the Late Pleistocene included a variety of trees, shrubs, flowering plants, birds, and mammals--many of which we still see on the Ohio landscape today. But the landscape also featured large mammals that are mostly extinct, including mastodons, giant sloths, short-faced bears, and giant beavers, like the ones living in the pond shown here.

Sized at 24 x 36 inches, the poster is printed on high-quality paper with a satin finish (no watermark on printed posters), unframed. Price includes mailing tube. A species index is included with each poster.
